Strawberry Shivers Forever

Since shooting over the weekend I have had a nice relaxing week and have done very little. I have discovered the joys of 'Strawberry Shivers' which is a non-alcoholic cocktail. OK, here's the story:

It's Monday evening and I finally decide to pack away all of the equipment from the filming weekend. Monsters take ages to tidy things away, we've only got little arms so lifting things gets us tired really quickly. I had finally managed to get all of the camera equipment in the loft and was routing around for a safe place to store it when I came across an old wooden chest with carvings on. Now, traditionally in these sorts of stories the old wooden chest with carvings on has magical powers and I was being a little careful in case I was sucked in to some sort of magical vortex. What I found in that chest was even more amazing than I could have imagined.

It was a little book that was full of non-alcoholic cocktail recipes. This is really old. It must have dated back at least 5 whole years. On the front was a picture of a footballer and it's title was "Blend it like Beckham".

Now, being a purple monster I decided to try and find something in there that matched my colour. To my dismay I couldn't find anything at all, which was a real shame. What I did find, however, was the recipe for 'Strawberry Shivers'. Here's what it says:

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 Strawberries
4 tsp. Honey
1/2 Water

INSTRUCTIONS:
Place all ingredients in the blender jar - cover and whiz on medium speed until well blended. Pour in one tall, 2 medium or 3 small glasses and drink up.

Now I didn't understand it at first. I'm from Canada and to us "Whiz on medium" could really be taken the wrong way. Over there it means a type of cheese and that wouldn't be very nice at all.

After figuring out that I didn't need any spray on cheese I but it all in a blender and what came out was amazing.

If you've not tried this cocktail then I urge you to. You'll really love it, even though it's not purple.
